Overview

I am a PhD student in Art History and Visual Culture and my current research interests centre around family formal learning in museums in China, in particular inter-discipline, culture and heritage. From 2009 to 2012, I received a full scholarship and bursary to study my MA at East China Normal University. My research project was designed to find teaching activities which could combine artistic appreciation and individual creativity in children. After graduating I established a private art studio and started giving lessons specializing in teaching at museums, mostly in China but also outside of China.

Since 2021, I have been teaching undergraduate modules, including MLM1052: Beginners Chinese and SML3020: Chinese Speaking Practice, at the Modern Languages and Culture department in the University of Exeter.
